I always worked on 8'10.3/4" for cb aerials, never had to 'adjust' a homebrew one

not far out at 108inchs then

just make a dipole out of a length of co-axial cable 108inchs comes to mind
had one in my flat used as horizontal dipole worked brilliant

Had a dipole in the early days had to use nylon kite string as guy ropes as the wind would snap it at the base

good old chicken box them were the days. met a lot of good guys from it and used to dx and get -cards from all over the world when the skip was in then they banned am sets to fm 40 channel and all the muppets were onso I -gave up .- it was ok when u had a 600 channel rig u could loose them . cobras hams and superstar 2000

I-had a directional aerial with rotator the rotator now operates the directional camera on me roof

got a melos echo box as well that was wired for cb, it not wired like that now though

did u have a roger bleep on your rig and a switch so u could turn it off then change your voice and slag people off and they wouldn't know it was u -cos they thought u had the bleep

I have a k40 speech processor mic on my rig, the magnetic version, it's about 25 years old and I got it off a mate still new in the box

Yeah had a beep on a rig like the cobra 148 but for the life of me cant remember the make, it was an add on where the pa switch or similar was used for the beep the make of rig is driving me mad now

Years ago my lad had one. We used it in the car when we were going caravanning (mostly to annoy the Truckers who always complained about caravans)
