Cats just decide who to own basically. I have two, or rather I'm owned by two. They take it in turns to drive me nuts, its a double act. They take it in turns to want to go in or our or be fed, and they both wait until I've just sat down. If I open the door to let one out, the one outside has an understanding that she won't want to come in, even if she'd been sitting by the door for twenty minutes, until I've sat down again, when she will suddenly desperately need to come in and be fed. Feed that one, sit down, the other one needs to go out again etc etc. Little s*ds, I don't know what I'd do without them....

Two of them are from the local uni where young girls have them when away from home but when they finish degree realise their parents won't let them bring cats back with them. We've also got two rescue dogs - we had first in around 1981 and eight since.
