I was meant to be cat sitting.
We now own a cat.
Blame Mini Me.
Mrs TYA parted with ££, me ok with that.

I want to take pictures.

Dam thing.
I have a camera, it runs away.

That's a lie.

It runs.
Not away.

Straight up my dam leg and hides on my shoulder.

We have 2, they are both more than happy to lie there while you take a picture!

Give it some time to get used to you and relax. But at least it's happy to be on you, that's a good sign.

My dogs hate next doors cats, who take great delight in teasing them. My dog chased one out the garden the other day, cat went over my Land Rover and the dog ran flat out, jumped and smashed into the Land rover. Cost me £70 down the vets for a check over, anti-inflammatory pain killers, etc for him!

Indeed. They may well be 'independent but I'd rather have a loyal companion.

We had a lovely cat, it used to go missing for weeks on end, went on for a few yrs. we found out a woman in the village was locking her in her house. Used to take it rattin with the terriers around the sow pens, she'd curl up below a heat lamp waiting for one to pass by, the terriers had missed

Our cat comes when you whistle. If we want to get him in we open the back door and whistle and he's there Ina few minutes. In our last house he'd come back if we turned the outside light on!

She is 4 years old and every day is a game of hunt. We have fields over the back of our house so you can imagine the things that get brought back 3-4 times a day. Last summer we had a stoat, 2 rabbits and a Bat!!!! Yes a bleeding bat!!! Not to mention the thousands of mice and birds the little s#d catches. If I leave my shoes in the conservatory I have to check them in the morning. Her recent trick is to tie the blinking thing up in the laces.

mine used to nick boiled potatoes off plates and hide them in my shoes, and often brought me presents. unfortunately they were live and she would cry at my bedroom door until i opened it, then drop a live mouse at the door and just look as if to say "well?" as the mouse sprinted past me into my room somewhere

Our female cat has brought a few bats home, it was rather a surprise the first time but you get used to it. She also has a thing for frogs, little so and so brings them home alive and lets them go in the lounge so she can hunt them all over again. Did you know frogs scream?, I didn't, and I can tell you it's the most blood curdling sound I've ever heard.

My mums cat brought a frog in, obviously in some moment of excitement the frog got under a carpet tile in the kitchen. Mum came down and couldn't work out why she couldn't stamp the tile down

We have had 2 cats...both rescues...both absolutely mental, and I mean that in every possible way.

The first one was forever picking a fight with my lab who somehow refrained from just biting it in half..

The second was proper mad though, it would just sit and hiss at the wall, or a chair, or a chest of drawers etc.

I hate cats but the mrs seems to have a soft spot for them
