Our 20 year old does too and it's her way of coping with kidney issues. She seems to manage by just drinking enough, but if Barney's getting through a heck of lot of water then it might be worth getting him checked out.Our youngest cat Barney, a year old now drinks loads of water, he needs his drinking bowl refilled every day. He seems happy enough with fresh chlorinated water.
