I thought that type of tool was for the back box part the female side of the RJ45, But I am no expert I had to get a crimp tool when I did mine a few months backIt says for rj45.View attachment 321743
I sort of surmised that as BT was mainly knockdown. So that's why I succumbed. And purchased a Tool.View attachment 321742

Yes, that is the krone style. That is the one you need. No idea on quality but then you aren't doing hundreds of terminations.Hopefully it's the correct one...
Good job I did not take it back then..lolThat's the badger, punches down and trims the end off all in one easy process.
The hook is for pulling the wires back out of the punch down block if necessary.
And the flat tool is for releasing Krone terminal blocks from their mounting frame.
I got 3 of those..lolIt's for terminating cables to sockets, you need a crimper to put plugs on.
But allegedly I need a different type for the easier to fit pass through plugs. LolI got 3 of those..lol
