A while back I bought this welder in a hurry as I needed a DC MMA welder to replace a failed set and this one was fairly local. It only had arc welding leads with it - none of the tig torch or connectors. It works very well as a MMA welder and the ability to change the current with the twist of a potentiometer is luxury as is the digital display of the amps. I had never given any thought to the tig side of it as it came from a deceased estate so there was no one to ask it it worked. Therefore my question is given that the MMA works correctly, is the tig likely to function or is this off many circuit boards? I don't want to buy a tig torch to suit it if it is unlikely to be functioning. Are there any simple tests that can be carried-out - I do have a multimeter. It is a substantial set in very good physical condition and looks very well made but I should imagine it's not a youngster.
Many Thanks.
