The supports are reproductions as I didnt have the originals. On the plus side I was given these for free but I suspect they may have been a pre production trial pieces & as such have a few casting defects in the form of small blowholes, these I have drilled out to give a clean surface to work on.
I have checked with the local chromers who tell me they will have to be filled with braze or silver solder for them to chrome them.
Some time ago this would not have been a problems as used to own Oxy/Acetylene gear but got rid of it on storage safety considerations & went over to Mig.
Can anybody suggest gear or techniques which would allow me to fill in the voids at home, hopefully without spending a fortune.
