Cast iron open fire

I have a cast iron fire with side oven from an old welsh cottage which has snapped how do i repair /weld it or bronze i have never repaired cast iron before although i have bronze welded cast exhaust manifolds.

This is a decent tutorial. You can weld it using cast rods (high nickel content) assuming you can do stick welding. Keep it very cool and peen it as described in the tutorial.

Thank you Bill i will see if i can scrounge a few rods from my mate thanks again. and yes i can stick weld used to repair welders as an apprentice lekie always tested them after.

Just a small thing - they're expensive! Don't go expecting him to give you a box full, at a couple of quid each take only what you need!
