Case MX Timing pin

Hi
Does anyone, have one of these, Case timing pins, part no.380000172.
I have a fuel pump job , coming off and would like to get the dimensions, of the pin, to get one made. It is not available, from CNH.

Customer, got someone else to fit a replacement pump and it is not right. I want to get a pin, so I can be sure it is spot on.
The pin is stepped, so I can't use a drill bit, as I normally would. Also tractor is 70 miles away, so just want to go and do job, the once.

It is an Iveco engine, from circa 2003, not sure is a Daf truck, might als have used it.

Have you got the workshop manual for the tractor?
CNH used to publish dimensioned drawings for special tools in the manuals (I got a manual for the the neighbours little NH, and it had drawings for all the special tools)
Although that part does look ground finish, and I'm also intrigued as to why it's got a ball end.

The engine might share some commonality with a truck engine, but in 2003, anything road going would be common rail, and off-highway would still have largely been using rotary pumps, so I'd guess it's a fairly specific tool.

Thank you guys. I do have a workshop manual, but it does not give any dimension drawings.

I don't know why , it has a ball end either. My thought was possibly to make it a bit easier, to enter into crankshaft.
I have tried the firm, that were dealers ,at the time, but no luck.

The tool is not available and has a price tag of £600 , if it was. The pump is a Bosch VP,pump, so the dial gauge kit , for that part of the job is easy. Kits on ebay, for around £40.

If tractor was in workshop , it would be easy enough, to measure up and get a pin made.
Might have to go old school and put a thin screwdriver down an injector hole, to find tdc

Weren't they a cummins/iveco collaboration engine?

Dont know if that helps finding a tool atall tho sorry
