I managed to increase my collection of these last week by getting three at a auction along with 4 G clamps. There were 2 6inch and 1 12 inch. I already have one each of these and although carver there is a design difference between them so I assume at some time they were redesigned. Any ideas which of these are the later? Apart from the colour one set has scalloped teeth and a cross hatching is also there on one type too.

I dont know about the older ones but they currently do a few different series which are all slightly different. I think the current ones have numbers referenced to the frame size then the length,
ie a t123-500 would be a 12mm wide main arm, version 3 in the T range and 500mm long.

Thanks for the info. Prices for all G clamps I find in auctions are going up I find! Though this last lot were a good buy, thankfully. Actually I find the carvers cumbersome to use but they are a good investment so I bid for them when I find them!
some great offers to be had on new ones if you keep your eyes open , ive seen used ones go for near new prices.

Great for pulling stuff together and also pushing it apart. Those you've shown in the photos put my Carvers to shame. Mine may look a mess but they still do the job required of them, though.
So how tight is tight I might ask. I can get good clamping using regular G clamps and although it takes time if you have to go from full/open to nearly closed and vice versa I find them great. I am trying to increase my stock with deep reach models but they are few and far between as the sizes go. Overall I have close to 100 clamps! You cant have too many!
