I've had a few bits from strauss, it is nice gear but pretty pricey and engineered more for thin lanky Germans, not pie eating short fat ********.
Had reasonable success with Uneek Clothing and Site King, not the highest quality, but has held up surprisingly well, cheap and available in dwarf leg lengths.

Have you considered ex MOD stuff. I recently bought a couple of pairs of ex Navy cargo type trousers for £10 a pair.

Also a decent pair of Altberg defender boots for £45.

I wear the Dickies Redhawk WD814's (zipped pockets), they've stopped making them so I bought a "few" spares .

Tried a few others but nothing is as good (for me anyway).

Hi Beanwood. They were just from one of the many on-line MOD surplus stores.

I bought them for rolling around in grease, welding and general repairs. They are well made, tough, plenty of room where it matters but they are probably a big light for winter use.
I bought them as alternative to buying green or camo stuff and looking too military.

I hadn't heard of them, thanks for sharing the link. It's nice to see a range of trousers where long actually means relatively long. Most cargo trousers seem to have 33" as the "long" length, which is about 3" too short in my opinion. If trousers are made too long, it's relatively straightforward to shorten them; it's much harder to fix when they're too short. The Strauss 34L seems to be 35" (89 cm) leg, which might be okay-ish. Probably worth a punt with the free returns policy.

Craghoppers list walking trousers on their website with "extra long" legs, but none in stock and when I spoke to their support people they said "We don't get much demand for them". They also said "They sell out very quickly when we get them in stock" (sounds a lot like demand to me) and "No, there's no way to register to be told when they're in stock" (so no way for customers to show demand).

The Strauss come up a bit longer than 35in. I wear 36in leg in jeans and the long Strauss are perfect and allow me to wear them properly pulled up. Apart from their chainsaw trousers which are more like 37-38in in long

ive been wearing stuff from cargoland for a while now, seem to be pretty good quality, and stonking value compared with everything else. I like the shorts they do as well!!

As someone said about lidl/aldi stuff its a bit hit and miss with regards to where the pockets are each time you buy the 'same' ones, but all in all, no great dramas!!

How tall? I found portwest Iaho are pretty good

Worn for probably average of 50hours a week in a fabrication shop environment.
