Just putting it in the mix but we use square.
Another vote for Square here - they take a fixed 2.5% fee so bear that in mind when quoting prices
Not that I've ever come across but most of my sales are mail order so I try to persuade customers to pay by bank transfer, if not then I use Square or as a very last resort PayPal (some people like it......) so I don't take a huge number of paymentsIs there a rebate if you take over a certain amount each month?
No, But if you use your recommendation code ( https://squareup.com/i/CARDONPHON is mine)you & they get £1k takings free of fees.Is there a rebate if you take over a certain amount each month?
Good shout as TSB have deal with Square giving a decent discount in various ways.Could be worth looking at your accounts package or your bank account and see what they say. Some do a deal or integrate with one brand of reader.

I wouldn't use a card terminal for customer not present transactions, as they don't offer the same level of checks/protection as a proper online payment gateway, so you're more at risk from fraudsters. Not that I've ever come across but most of my sales are mail order so I try to persuade customers to pay by bank transfer, if not then I use Square or as a very last resort PayPal (some people like it......) so I don't take a huge number of payments
