I’d like to invest in some of this reasonable but inexpensive (aka Chinese) carbide insert tooling I see mentioned a lot for my Kerry AG (Similar to a Harrison L5/140 and about 2HP).
Has anybody run negative clearance tooling on this size of lathe? E.g. CNMG or WNMG
The ability to flip the insert for double the edges appeals.
I’ve also heard about some that can be used in milling cutters as well as which would be even better – I really want to avoid buying dozens of different styles of holders and inserts and having a dual purpose setup would be slick.
Also can anybody recommend good suppliers to check out? I suspect Banggood delivery times might be an issue in the current climate, so a UK based supplier would be handy.
