Also genuine carbide burrs are considerably heavier than cheaper ones.And, yes they are silver soldered/brazed to the shank.

the spindle is made of a softer material it would shatter if it was carbide

people think u just buy a carbide tool and that's it but it isn't . there's a lot of different grades and quality and the price reflects buying from a reputable supplier
