Can I just make the damage square and glue a piece in?

Its an old Knaus from the 90's so quite rare, I suspect its a personal importTheres loads of Caravan Breakers and windows are common......usually easy to replace.....There will be one near you or try ebay

Thanks what glue did you use?I have repaired a few on mine - mostly when they have delaminated, completely separated the two halves, clean them up and then stick back together with clear adhesive and clean excess off when dry. I had one where the inner pane had been cracked and I replaced that with a piece of acrylic. All the adhesive repairs are still holding, the oldest being 5 years ago.
When gluing up, both sheets need to be as flat as possible otherwise when fitted it can invoke stress which I found out when one I didn't take enough time over to get completely flat cracked after 6 months. The outer pane might be more difficult due to the shape.

Caravan breakers will have something similar as the windows are common fitment across most makes.

silicone? to stick things.......I mean bit of trim and plastic hooks etc....a few screws that have come loose...a drop of gorilla and pop the screw back it........are we talking about the same things?No.
Use silicone, next time you need to redo it.
