Car wiring plug connectors

All tho connectors may seem unique they are often used in more than one place.

A recent example I found was on mk 4 Astras, the xenon headlights are a fairly rare factory option and use different plugs to normal lights, however the front drivers door central locking motor uses the same plug

I "invested" in a pair of the proper extractor tools to remove pins from multi connectors -

These, along with a couple of other special tools allow me to salvage all kinds of vehicle multiplugs for reuse. Soaking in solution of bio washing powder and scrub with toothbrush brings the plastic up like new. New pins are easily available as they tend to be used in all kinds of housings and there aren't unique to just one type. I find autojumbles are a good source of a selection of new pins.

Search for "terminal removal tool"

They do most of the common automotive terminal pins. You might find the occasional one that the tools don't fit but I've bought those individually and they aren't too dear either (sub £5 incl p&p).
