Car Welding kit

Can anyone recommend what my husband would need to be able to do regular welding to his old landrover and what will I need to spend ( I m trying to get ideas for Christmas present)

I would recommend sending Weldequip a PM, you'll be looking at a Clarke 160 TE or there abouts, a Parweld auto darkening mask and a couple of argon/co2 mixed disposables.

As for a price, it will certainly be better than the box movers, and with outstanding service.

Hi Melanie, send Weldequip a pm he's the man to ask. I bought a Clarke 160 TE mig welder and an auto darkening helmet for a tad under £300 from him which is very reasonable indeed. Came next day as well ! Of course you can buy a less powerful welder say a Clarke 135, that would be cheaper still. Hope that helps
