A Combo van I bought came with some random tyres on it.
I thought the back end wasn't holding the road very well, so swapped whatever random cheap tyre that was on the back to the front left. The first damp right hander I came to I just about went through the hedge, and I wasn't even going fast.
The randoms were quickly replaced with some decent Michelins.

never swap round worn tires on vehicles. they bed in and grip well. move them round and its lethal in the wet smashed my f2 stockcar up on the 1st bend flat out and went through the steel wires when it didnt turn and just slid out

I've got one odd Hokey Cokey brand tyre on my Iveco van. Bloody thing doesn't grip in the dry, let alone the wet. I might as well have a Reliant Robin van for all the good it is.

I used to run Avon tyres [Z33] for years and found them excellent, at the time they were the only tyres made in the UK other than Michelin but the Z33s are no longer made.

Now owned by the Cooper Tire company so they could be manufactured anywhere on the planet now I suppose.

I always buy the cheapest one's that are black and round. Normally get them online and fit them myself.

I find the cheapest don't stay round for very long.

Bridgestone Turanza run flats on all four corners. Thankfully I’ve done very very few miles in the last year

Windforce catchpower, catchy name! But I can vouch for them 100%
The tyre fitter in Treorchy talked me into trying them, I must have had 5 sets off him by now. If there is a negative, the only thing I noticed when I swapped them for Avons on my Jag was a stiffer ride - they must be stiffer in the sidewall. They are not far off half price.

4 x Pirelli scorpions on the D3 on Monday and 4x Michelin on one of the berlingos today. All from national, best price I could get and fitted on site . Maybe I can get through the rest of the week without buying anymore.

I've got Uniroyal rainsports on at the moment

Big fan of Rainsports, had them on my Saab 9-3, wanted them for the XK8 but don't seem to be able to get them on the Island, so its Falken or Goodyear F1Asymetric something or other

I liked Bridgestones on the Audi but the only downside was less than 5000 miles on a set (less than four IIRC) so were a bit of a dear do. The Toyos weren't any better.

Then you have never driven one, clearly. Roadholding is absolutely fine, provided you drive it without all the sloppy habits and assumptions that four wheeler drivers have.

Friend of mine just had 4 new Radar tyres on his Yaris and rates them highly, made in Singapore apparently.

I had brand new Nankangs come on my Jaguar XF when I bought it 6 months ago. They surprised me with how decent they are. My last XF was very fussy about tyres - had OE Dunlops on and when I changed two of them for Uniroyals (I liked them on my BMW e60) it turned the car into an undrivable mess.

Favourite tyres have always been and probably always will be, Continental Sports. They're just so expensive in 20" and I don't drive hard enough any more to really care.

I have a Reliant sitting on my drive. I wasn't knocking the Robin, merely indicating my Iveco might as well have just three wheels for all the good the tyre was. Ah, the wonders of the written word, deviod of the author's expression.

Was that a Q series.
I had one as a hire car for a couple of months about 4 years ago. when someone rear ended my old Rangie.
it had 30 miles on it when it was delivered and went back at 4000 as both front tyres had turned into slicks. No idea what flavour rubber it had fitted

I've had that with a couple of tyres on the van. Weird large bulges suddenly appeared on the tread that looked very dangerous and shook the van at any speed.

Just put a set Toyo Proxes on the Grand Cherokee just could not justify another set of continentals if you get a puncture and its anywhere near the edge no repair it gets expensive to go with premium tyres also the wet handling with the Toyo's is very good i would not expect them to last as along as premium tyres but the Toyo's seem to be a good tyre for the price

I found the "made in Rhodesia" 5.50/600 - 19" Dunlops on my Dodge rather hard and lacking in grip, but they don't seem to be wearing down!
