car radiator

Hi

my radiator. is there a decent radiator welding type product out there?

I haven't had agood investigation though yet. my fabia is at 225k a 13 plate. i have spent a fair amount on it recently . So its getting to that point money wise.

but cars are very expensive. I prob end up doing radiator but just need it going the now.

I used some Holts stuff a couple of weeks ago, worked a treat.

I've got months out of an old vehicle, years ago, with a couple of whisked eggs.

the one near us were robbing b xxx ds we used to throw the parts over the fence and go retrieve them on my trials bike over the field

If your radiator is leaking on a car with ……. Is that correct almost a quarter of a million miles? Why not just put a recon radiator on it rather than putting an additive in the coolant system which might temporarily stop the leak for a short time but will surely not be good for the cooling system in the long term

Worth looking at how much a cheap new one is, I think only paid £30 or so for a 206 one from Euro parts last year, and one for the Vivaro was less than 80 from GSF.

Hardly worth messing with magic potions at that price.

they deserved it .you would take a part off and take to the office they were double the price of all the others so you left it and they sold them for even more taken off and on the shelf

I fully understand putting sealer type products in and I have done it myself but the reality is the vehicle will never be same again once you do it. The heating system will never be as good as some of the ways will get clogged. I've had a car that someone had put some in and the heater work but it was all or nothing and the "all" wasn't anywhere what it should have been.

If you are keeping the car just put a rad in it.

I wouldn't use a sealer - if its just a small leak, keep it topped up until you can change the rad.

the house rad stuff blocks the radiators rather well at the return valve hence the reason why you have to fully open and close the valve a few times

i dont trust it and certainly wont use it on cars for the same reason
