Car Radiator Flushing

Either my Google skills or my memory cells have gone AWOL.

I intend to flush the car's cooling system.

I thought I could recall seeing a conical bung, with a hose fitting on the large end, that could be pushed into the end of a disconnected radiator hose to ensure a good flow for backflushing.

Except I can't find one via Google.

These days if Mrs Google can't find it then I'm lost!

Am I imagining something that doesn't exist or am I just incompetent at online search?

1st says it can be powered by air or water.

2nd is air powered.

I can't fault the logic of that one.

PS. I did consider suggesting making an adaptor/cone out of alloy/nylon bar on a lathe, but didn't know if you had access to the material or a lathe...

I've used rags on more than one occasion, always to hand

If you make a tapered bung you can put a venture pipe in it so it draws air as well it helps to stir the crap up

I once filled an over heating Toyota Corolla rad with concrete cleaning acid, as it was visibly chocked with rust flakes. Let it soak for a half hour, then back flushed it.
That was a rich moment, watching the brown sludge flowing out. A week later the brass top split wide open. Down to the radiator guy who made me a new brass top and soldered it in, for £20. This wasn't in the U.K.

Good call, as I have neither!

But I am now the proud possessor of......

Which, with a liberal application of Bodger Tape may work.
