Evening all, just been up near Durham on a job, loaded my gear to come home and the B***dy car decided not to rev above 3000 rpm, its an 04 reg c max, 1.6 tdci any pearls of wisdom?
i drove home ok down hill and on flat bit of a sod on any hint of a hill

it sounds like a limp home mode probily a sensor/ ecu fault

Could be limp home caused by crank sensor fault or even and egr fault, how many miles has it done?

oh dear mere money, cost £300 in tyres yesterday, ran fine this morning, started fine tonight then went to pot.

Is there any lighst showing on dash,engine symbol or check engine etc?

no lights on, i read about horror stories when i got in, its done mega miles 110k, but is full history service wise.
have to be on site for 6 am so will be er limping tomorrow and sat.

If no lights on then unlikely to be sensor/electronic related, could be something a simple as a turbo pipe split or blown off,its quite common the ford tdci's for some reason.

just remember the average speed camera's on the A1 if its working in the am
