Car nicked from outside our house.

They have been targeting these cars in big cities for a while, driving around just looking for them, coming back at night, drive away...

There was a spate of thievery round newcastle when the first xr2s were in vogue…..bare shells were being found at early o'clock in the morning….When caught turns out cars were driven into furniture van, stripped on the road, shells pushed out the back.

However I would not trust one of them an inch with the life of an animal.

I have to take onerous precautions to stop my kit getting nicked ,my motorbike ,pick up ,tools etc. Its actually gypsies from the UK that do most of the theiving here in Norway.

This time of year its rife because after a busy summer of ripping off grannies they are looking to run for the border with a big score that will tythe them over until spring.

I have had my yard done over and a chipper nicked as well as two break in attempts on my house .Each year the cameras catch British registered vans cruising up my dead end lane past my house,heads on swivels. They stop and look in the Barn thinking the kit is in there,they have looked up the companies address in the hope they can lift some easy kit.

It doesn't matter how you trust them it's the 1001st person that's the problem.
I always see the excuse that armed citizens will stop armed attacks, but how often does it actually happen, a quick Google says 565 mass shootings so far this year. Where were the armed citizens stopping these?? The simple fact of the matter is if you make guns so easily obtainable then they will be used by the wrong people. In this country it's hard to obtain guns for everyone including the nut jobs. And even if an armed citizen stops them how many are dead by the time that happens. And how much collateral damage are caused by untrained citizens popping off rounds.
A quick reasonable and effective response whilst being shot at is not something that an average person can muster. It takes years of training and discipline.

And btw there is a fair chance that whilst they where threatened with a gun it may not even be real.

If someone shoots at a group of people ie a " drive by in the hood: that counts as a mass shooting. So it's not all tragic brassing up of schools ect.

Most of the gun violence in the states involves inner city black youths,that's a fact.guns are a part of life there and actually far less dangerous than over eating/ tobacco use/ speeding/ riding horses or farming. You could compare wearing a gun to driving to the pub. As an adult you are expected to have a pint and no more but you can still drink 5 and a stiff Whisky,jump in your supercharged Merc and hit a schoolbus head on.

It's that you are expected not to,not that you couldn't. Tbh I would make the sale of booze in the UK heavily restricted and tax the granny out of it in order to pay for the billions in alcohol related harm. Also zero breath alcohol for driving permanent ban if your caught because no one needs to drive impared

Most of the violent crime here is the same. My friend the ex judge told me that they are forbidden to say so. However the violence tends to be against those of the same or similar background.
