Anyone got or use a car scissor lift, the type that lifts about 1m high and lifts from the sills? What are they like to use and are the they practical. Or is a two or four post lift the best way to go?
Scissor type don't lift far and impede access. Two posters need substantial floor mounts and four posters are too big for the average workshop.
By accident, I ended up with a mobile single post lift. The only thing it won't do is a Transit because of its deep skirts. 3.5 Tons rated and you can push and spin it around loaded with a vehicle. New price currently under three Grand.

@armalites I always find 4 post ramps a pain to work with. Good for tracking & welding though
Screw lifts!! steer clear
you can fit one in your new workshop but not in your old workshop as too low
just so you know
you can also get better height closer to your workshop door as one can be fitted there and can go higher
