Hello everyone,
I'm very excited as I'm planning to go back to welding. I've done some welding in college in my teens (arc and mig) and really enjoyed it.
I've never owned a welder before so advice much appreciated.
What I'm intending to use it for: most jobs will be done outside or in the shed. I have a Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 which needs the outer skin near the sill welded and that will be my first job. From then on it will be used around the house in the garden and for some diy projects. So I think it's fair to say that I will be welding steel between 0.8-5mm thick.
I will be getting gas from Boc on the hobby deal and a mig welder. But which one?
My all in budget is around £250-300, the less the better and that includes, has, mask, etc. I have my eye on the Sealey mightymig150 which is around £180. Would that be up to the job?
Any advice much appreciated.
Cheers
