Didn't help on the loaner MK4 Golf GTI I was borrowing for a bit. Aftermarket exhaust was 1" short at two joints. Pig!![]()
That sealey crap is just sodium silicate, you can buy 5 litres of it for that.
It's the same problem as the old exhaust pastes, it's rigid so it just cracks out eventually.
Go on weld those joints up![]()
I am doing mine tomorrow, here's hoping we both have successWell I started the car when I got home and the middle joint the one I did with pu sealent was fine but the front joint that was fine previously was blowing a bit .....
So anyway yea middle and back box off(again) , some 'forever white ' silicone applied and bolted back up ,
I'll give it 24 hours to set . Pray for me guys![]()
