Get a cheapy mains hoist with an inner tube in the hook ro hang in as you hoist yourself up and a braked castored supporting frame plus a decent long extension leadmine came from Lidl's, I'd give it to u if I lived closer.....ps it also folds up to make a rolling stool.....
my prob is old age.....I can get down on it but need help getting back up.....hahaha...
I have some industrial engineering WPM , basically 2 mm thick hard black slippery plastic ,, I can still get under the caravan by sliding along it if needed ,Put it this way my is on Defender on 33" tyres and there's only just enough clearance under it for me to work with a creeper (sat on its wheels) and given standard axle stands are fairly near the top of their adjustment to get the wheels off the ground...
I also find that those extra few inches means it also feels quite cramped working on one and a 110 isn't particularly densly packaged underneath. Piece of carpet or old gym mat I find far more convenient if I'm working outside. The workshop floor is so nice and smooth it's comfortable enough just lying on it.
I guess most of you don't have the problem I have. My long hair constantly gets caught up in the wheels.
A side cut from an IBC is thick enough to have a good slippery crawler sheet under vehicles and they don't slip or slide away when you are undoing tight torqued up nutsMine as well
My real problem is that I honestly found out those trolley things are useless if not just to check beneath the car.
You figure out as well while trying loosen up something or using a torque wrench.
You'll start rolling around instead of applying any force on the fasteners.
So a piece of cardboard is more useful IMHO

I'd rather buy tools.Get it cut you scruffy individual,
I was given a snap-on creeper. It's completley useless on my drive. I don't think it was a lot better on my garage floor, but probablyUnless you have really nice smooth floor they can be hard work, I dont use one just a nice soft mat and its fine getting under, getting out can be a bit more problematic!![]()
Show-off!I guess most of you don't have the problem I have. My long hair constantly gets caught up in the wheels.
I just use the wifes old yoga mat.Best crawler gadget I have ever had is this crawler mat, top bit slides over the underside, it’s outlived all of the wheeled type and has zero height.

Wifey bought me one 20 years ago, and it moved house, and countries with us several times, but I never used it once. I preferred a piece of cardboard, and I could ‘walk’ on my shoulder blades to wherever I needed to be under the car.I’ve got a similar creeper & don’t use it much, I generally prefer to slide a large piece of cardboard under & work off that. Like Frank said above, they are difficult to get on & off them, they keep rolling away. The best answer is to get someone else to do the underneath bit & you just supervise
Get a creeper with a nice padded pillow tell the wife your repairing the car, get in position and have a nap. She thinks your busy and you get extra peace/quiet and No Nagging....I just use the wifes old yoga mat.
As for the creeper, the most useless thing I have ever bought. Totaly useless. When you're in you 70's how the hell do you get on it. As for getting off it, you just lie there wondering, after all you've got plenty of time to think about it, being an old frat.
As for actually applying a lit of load to a spanner, how the hell do you do that with out swinging around the place. Useless.

No but if you have one of those lumberjack shirts on it can get run over by the wheels and then your stuck...I guess most of you don't have the problem I have. My long hair constantly gets caught up in the wheels.
A Fix It Again Tomorrow 500, you should strap the creeper to the roof permanently and just roll the car over to fix the underneath problems....you can then roll the car into the corner while awaiting parts......I have one and it doesn't roll smoothly on my rough concrete driveway but when it does suddenly move after using loads of force it makes me crack my head on the front sub frame of a Fiat 500 causing lots of blood and sweating![]()
