Capacitor wiring SGS 90l

Hi does anyone have (or can take a photo) of the wiring connections for the capacitors/motor

My compressor stopped - made humming noise when switching on and then popped breaker at consumer unit.
From searches it was likely to be the capacitor - bought new and fitted - thought I had copied wiring, but now doesn’t even hum.
So thinking I’ve connected something wrong - should have taken a before photo

This is area I’m looking for in the photo.

You have a brown lead that is floating about which won't help matters.
Are we meant to guess which compressor it is?

Could do with a pic of the motor plate. Does the motor turn freely by hand? Is the overload popped?

Looks like a reversible single phase cap start/cap run. Hook up that earth lead before doing anything else.

Both brown wires are connected. One is from a capacitor and one is from mains to the overload switch - nothing floating.

Motor turns freely by hand with belt still attached, so compressor section works as it should and not jammed.
Earth was connected when I tested it - just removed to lift the lower half of the box to see how wires went into motor.
Overload isn’t popped - checked and there is 240v at the live and neutral terminals on the connector block - so after the overload switch.

There's an eyelet next to the white block that appears not to be connected.

There’s no white block - possibly the metal case of the motor? Which does have the earth wire disconnected next to it, but as above this was only unscrewed after testing with new capacitors to be able to lift the base to see where the wires went into the motor and have a look at them.

Got it. A cut-out in the bottom and a discoloured cable.

RC - run cap; will be lower value.
SC - start cap.

Does the rotation reference the rotation of the motor? Would this be from looking towards the pulley or the rear of the motor ?

If you have only changed the run capacitor and not moved any links then the motor will still spin in the same direction that it originally did. So you shouldn't need to make any changes to the links.

Was there any obvious damage to the run cap?
Did you replace the start cap?

Do you normally run the comp from that socket?
Was the tank empty?
Is it on a 13A plug?
As it popped the 'consumer breaker' was it an MCB or an earth leakage device?

looks like clockwise rotation and you have reset the overload switch on the motor so you have to what would be u1 also it looks like you have replaced the run capacitor not the start capacitor is that correct
