The Daily Express was the last newspaper I ever bought, I remember the screaming headlines:

HOUSE PRICES FALL, THOUSANDS TO LOSE HOMES!

That was maybe 20 years ago.
And I realised it was absolute garbage, pure sensationalist drivel and never bought a paper since, not one.

A lot do. One driver who’s lorry I look after goes mental if you wear any shoes in the cab. I have a pair of crocs just for his lorry. Leaves his boots on the top step as he gets in.

He did pay £500 for his carpet so I understand.

I read the article because I’m doing a VAT thing and I’m bored but even then I lost interest at ‘workmen boots’. They are what, exactly.

I have tried this in the past but just can't shake the thought of having to get out sharpish if something goes wrong. I don't fancy tiptoing around broken glass if there is an accident.

I did once, and once only drive in ski boots, the hard plastic type, not recomended,

I did the same. Snowboarding weekend in scotland.The snowgates had been closed overnight so in a big rush to get to the ski center, into the hire center to get all togged up, trousers, boots, collect boards.Now I had never been skiing before so jumped into the hire car and belted over to the slopes to meet the instructor who looked amazed that I just driven over in the hired ski boots.
