Hi
New to MIG welding, just bought a Clarke 160EN cos I thought that I could make use of the "gasless" weld capability, and use some Pub C02 that I have for gas later.
On sparking up I find that I can't see enough of the weld path to make a nice straight weld. I wear vari-focal glasses, but I feel that the welding mask provided with the 160EN is too dark. What sort of grade glass can I use in the mask to give me as much light as possible. I did read on this forum that the smoke and spatter from gasless weld wire makes it hard to see. Any Help???
