What to do with a rusty canal boat? Just been offered a 58 foot 1970s canal boat for scrap money. Needs replating. Beyond my skills and budget to fix it. Thought about using it as a field ornament/visitor accomodation. But transporting it 200 miles wouldnt be cheap... Ideas?

if you had the skills and it was cheap enough and you also had 12-1300 quid spare for 4 mm plate you could make some money, the newer narrow boats now use 10-12mm base plates, well beyond your 13 amp supply

Years ago there was one down the side of a local house which ended up being advertised "free to collector" due to the high cost of moving. I think in the end it went to a scrap merchant
