Can you use a normal washer as a seal?

Try them, I have used them all. The bottom one was last year on a old canal boat engine.

Anyone got any other suggestions where i might be able to get them from?

I've tried loads of people, and noone seems to have them.

Thought i had them sorted off him. I sent him a stamped envelope before christmas, like he asked. Never recieved anything back.

I've sent him a few message on here, but got no reply.

Dunno if something has happened to him because he was all for helping me out, then just went quiet
