Just like to add

1) on my compressor, only had it 22 years, want to put solenoid valve on the water drain and angle to it emptied when mains off.

2). Look on YouTube at exploding compressors. Make right mess, if that goes, you will need an assistant to look for your head if too close to it

There is an easy to access drain valve on the other side and I drain it regular. Its a new Sealey compressor I dont expect any issues for quite some years to come.

Point noted RE head blown off potential.

Anything else folks? What about the ceiling could it contain asbestos? No one even mentioned the ladder with obvious spray oil stains on the step

Im not sure what you mean? The metal frame I made and thats an upstand with an SIP compressor anti vibration mount bolted to it.

It always had one poxy socket in the corner. Ill have 6x double sockets and a 32 amp welder socket now. Spoiled.

Anytime The air lines were taken off the wall for painting they are PCL XF hoses works out well. I will eventually do a copper condensation pipe and PCL reel like my back garage but for now it suits my needs.

While you're at it, make it 12 double sockets. You can never have enough and they don't eat anything.

This garage is a single garage and tight for space as it'll always have a car in it. (Eventually 2 cars at one time using the lift as storage!) 5x double sockets placed all around it will be great for me and also not too many that would block precious wall space for cabinets or work tables etc. I am very carefully planning vertical and horizontal containment runs to maximise wall space and keep high level of services.

As you have mentioned it, what about relocating the bracket above the regulator to below it. I foresee an air hose being hung off it which just maybe will catch the pressure guage.

Just saying as you've asked for suggestions.

How many of your twin sockets have breaker protection within them and how many sockets have 1& 2 amp USB on them ?

I have 16 x 2gang switched sockets, two RCD switched sockets and one 16 amp switched outlet by the electric roller door , as well as two big USB plug in points.
I got fed up of having to come into the house to recharge the latest USB toys.

When the new mancupboard is erected ( son ) I will have similar but will have three 30 amp rings instead of two and add another ten or so double switched sockets including a floor plate socket for a big bench in the middle of nowhere .
I'll also be modifying my compressor with a piped in drain and ball valve drain cock so I can discharge it throught eh wall to the rear of the mancupboard just before I close up for the day.

Like my current set up it will also have loads of bright LED flood lights that are on short leads and plugged into switch sockets on a dedicated 5amp ring and marked LED LIGHT ONLY It's quicker , safer and easier to change a dead light instead of hanging around on a ladder for 5 min and fiddling about with wires above my head as I'm now almost 75 yrs old .

None.

My house has a modern consumer unit and will be getting another new one again now.

USB sockets - all commonly come Type A which will be outdated soon enough. And they consume a small amount of power permanently even when not in use (Some exceptions like MK though) and can interfere with or get damaged by insulation testing.

Hence I am using all plain double metal clad sockets with LED indicators so I can easily spot anything left on when Im leaving.
