It’s frustrating but you can get boxes with single central knockouts that line up.
This is Contactum brand metal clad, didn't see any option on Screwfix but I will check that as it does bother me! All they had to do was 2x extra screw tabs in the box to allow use of the central 'oles

I am going to 3D print PETG blocks either side with m4 brass thread inserts in the morning and hot glue them inside both sides. Job done

MK are rubbish, do not buy MK! Problems every time. Their boxes do not have properly threaded holes and rely on the screw to form it. Every other brand was done properly.Don’t quote me but I think MK may allow for equal line up.
Prints I imagine, are rather more flammable than the proper standard would allow. Bad idea.
Used to get back boxes with the faceplate lugs on 4 sides and 2 or 4 knockouts so you can put them anyway around.
