My question is when you trigger the mig torch to weld can you hear the gas solenoid switch on?
Contactedvia email asked for pic of panel to confirm wbip is correct, asked if I had access to another torch to test, which I dont have access to,@Nathan Levin I've just seen your posts on https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/sherman-206p-several-issues.107889/
So this is a brand new machine, a Sherman dualmig 210, and it's never worked for delivering gas?
Looks like @Lathinger had success by contacting Sherman direct. Looks like they (Sherman) jumped on it. Once you have ruled out there is definitely gas in the bottle and it's getting to the back of the machine...get in touch with Sherman direct and ask them for help troubleshooting the issue.
Report back what happens.
I dont think there is a leak as when I turn on the gas and leave it the needle doesnt move, The only way to depressure is to undo the nut holding the gas line to the reg
Contacted sherman on wednesday@Nathan Levin I've just seen your posts on https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/sherman-206p-several-issues.107889/

Just read his post, glad they were emailing videos, back and forth, great their service, worked, and his machine is sorted - I am still. Waiting - hence my question here, hopefully my CS experience will be as good,@Nathan Levin I've just seen your posts on https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/sherman-206p-several-issues.107889/

I did tell Them to pack it well, and they did , tons of bubble and plastic, I was concerned that the welding magnets were packed close but it was super well packed - but YES you are right could be a loose spade terminal, thanks for everyones help, any ideas as to a solution are good and welcome,Don’t think you can do any more without taking a squint inside, the way stuff gets kicked about in transit it may be something as simple as a spade terminal dislodged.

Thanks for your reassurance, yes will wait till I get the next instructions, and as you say satisfaction in fixing it is always a bonus,Don't be disheartened. It's a new machine and you would have hoped it would work perfectly out of the box. Sherman welders seem quite reasonable and fairly well made. And they seem to have a responsive technical support team. All good things.
Follow their instructions. If you cannot do something you'll just have to say a particular test is not possible and what else can be tried. You may need to get your screwdriver out and have a look inside. Be careful though and no your limits. It's got mains voltage when plugged in and even high voltage capacitors after it's been just switched off.
If it needs, say, a new solenoid, it's not the end of the world. If they can send you a part and you fit it you'll be learning more about your machine than some and will get satisfaction that you fixed it! Better the problems surface now than in two years or so.
Ask Sherman for the next test.
