Could I brush or roll on 2k epoxy primer, skip the sanding once cured and just spray paint a 2k filler over it?
The hope is I would get a pretty decent and smooth finish right off the bat for applying the basecoat and at most I'd just have to do some light sanding of the filler coat.
And rolling the 2k epoxy primer would remove the need for as much masking and prepping and afterwards I don't have to bother with the cleaning of the gun. Getting a solid epoxy primer onto bare metal and not sanding should also be ideal for producing a good protective layer.
Or am I just being too lazy looking for easier solutions? It's my biggest weakness I admit. I'm just looking for ways to make the process easier, reduce masking and cleaning steps and I got this idea that 2k spray filler is gonna help me a lot, I've put filler on by hand before and it's a PITA and difficult to get larger areas smooth and nice.
No idea of brand either, I see Mipa mentioned and its sold here.
