No impossible, as the optics work side to side not front to back.
Yes you can do 4 wheel alignment. The optics also work front to back.
Its I while since I used this but all you do is flick the mirror to 90 degrees ( it has 2 positions and is designed to do this) and set against rear wheel. You then set the scope gauge facing the mirror about a car length in front of car. Once zeroed you then move the mirror gauge and place against front wheel and check for parallel.
This idea is designed for checking multiple alxes on trucks are parallel but there's no reason why you can't do a 4 wheeled car with this method.

Next check distance from hub centre front to hub centre rear. Must be equal.
