I decided to have another play with this , I tried diamond core drills in the mill with very little success , then I drilled a hole in the block below the cutter and drilled and tapped a grease nipple in there , no chance.
Next came out the grinder
It's a pity my tig is knackered at the moment
I will make a brass stud then weld the block back up when I have a working welder.
You can see where the shank of the cutter friction welded itself to the block.
