can someone tell me if there is anything wrong with my welding?

What are you welding with BTW?

The pic in your album shows a TIG unit, but you say you are using CO2 pub gas. Do you have a mig as well?

most of the welding i do is mig.the picture of the triangle plate is an arc weld.this was the first project i done with the arc welder.

picked it back up after ten years without using one.

i have a dc tig that i am just getting used to for stainless.pics to follow.

welds look top banana to me, you could hang a car from those welds, full, low and penetrated.
I'd trust you to weld any of my projects

welding is not a contest to see who has the neatest welds as with people like me who has a shakeing hand affliction...but to make sure the weld is up to the standard for the job in hand.....for this job. perfect welds my friend...if it looks right then it proberly is.....as for other welders out there dont be so perdantic...or undermining peoples confidence....? well thats my rant for the week.....lol

Abolutely nothing wrong with your welding on this project my friend.
The usual pulse technique used - presumably due to mateial heat dissipation. absolutley perfectly fit for purpose.
first picture appears to show an overhead - which is quite neat
second one appears to show what looks to be an MMA weld tbh a decent example imo - can't judge thickness of material or postional orientation.(if you wanted to be very critical some might critisize it for being uneven - it does appear to make a decent distribution on the material. anyone who complained should be ignored imo)
third pic - looks like heavier gauge onto thinner gauge, short bursts to reduce heat i presume. tidy and fit for purpose.

I am not gonna go on, tbh any welder that looks at these pics and is critical has never welded a car body or chassis OR they are an idiot.
The beauty of MIG on small gauge steel is, "if it looks the part then it probably is".

I have been welding everything from cooling tower pipework to construction steels to car bodies for 20years now, and in that time i have seen many a welder that couldn't turn out work to the standard in yoru pictures.

could be a term of endearment by a Aussie you just never know
welds look fine especially be out of position ones
the ark weld is typical of an ac weld it would be much smoother on dc

Case in point the OP has been critisised elsewhere, in all honesty i hardly see what manboobs have to do with my post. I have cast a critical eye over the picks and been unable to find any just cause for critisism or offer any.
As i ended my post i have explained exactly that, yes i am a newcomer to your forum - does this make me a retard or troll or indeed a purveyor of manboobs and daytime tv.
Now you go on my good man and quake away in your high heels by all means, I have caste my eye over the work posted and offered my opinion on the efforts "very well done and perfectly fit for purpose".
To be very honest that is actually high praise coming from me, since in the workplace it is either Sh*t or ok that everyone else gets from me.
So suck it up - grow up and leave my beer belly and manboobs out of it, I am not a Troll who swings into a forum to fire off a few BS comments then dissappear into obscurity. I came across this forum quite by accident and tbh am quite impressed with how it seeks to help people to expand there knowledge and skill base, why seek to undermine that view with downright rudeness?
