Which is fine as long as you dont want to do a decent weldYes but you could have 10 of those for the price of a decent welder.

So what is your max cut you want? Be a little careful with plasma cutters some state say a 12mm cut, but the truth is they do a nice 8mm cut, but at 12mm thick it looks like my grandma chewed it with her false teeth. But if your going for sheet steel thats under 4mm thick it shouldnt be much of a problem.
Butters is Chinese Mitec afaik. I know Mitec and Greenbird are decent.....vg for the dough.
They were the same company and the chief engineer went on his own to form Greenbird. They are the same machines with different names........more or less.Postage is a bit of a ripoff on Ebay. The price of sending that stuff is only about 60 US dollars per cu. metre last time I checked.
What you plan to do with Plasma is what I bought mine for. You do need space to use them as they will make a mess in a small garage. Most times with a staight cut the grinder is as good........but profiles are where plasma wins hands down. You may know all this anyway...

The grinder or hack saw i don't mind for the straight cuts, its just I never seem to want a straight cut. And with the grinder you have to remove a mass of metal.
I'm also looking for a pipe cutting tool, I was thinking of a band saw? It will be to cut exhaust size pipes etc.
