it certainly will pull the power down if I already had one id give it a go but wouldn't if I had to go and pay big money out I thought a 10 hp was large enough on a household supplyBe careful, I had a new boost 12kW that needed an 80a breaker and was a total pig to start, no star-delta and a 3k rpm idler motor. It was a very heavy starter.
My old 15kW boost has a star-delta starter and will start on a 45a breaker. Be prepared for neighbors to complain about the lights.
Standing load on my 15kW boost is 20aI think you may get a Christmas card from the electric company when they read the meter!
