That's it really. I have a firebrick from our log burner that's cracked and also some damaged CI guttering with bits broken off. Are they MIGable?
Often turbo housings are cast steel, manifolds are a mixed bunch.If all you have is MIG it will stick it back together but its not ideal and not the done thing.
I've welded cast iron manifolds/ turbo housings etc and they have held.
Maybe I got lucky or maybe they were cast steel

Engine blocks are usually grey iron but they put "chills" in the cylinders to make them hardThere was someone on here from Poland iirc, welded cast engine blocks regularly with TIG

I've migged cast iron with very mixed results.... it's not a method you can rely on. Cast steel migs pretty easily.
