Can Feromaxx 7 be used for stainless?

Just wondering if the above is possible, as long as I use the appropriate wire?

It'll physically work but it's the wrong gas. Contains too much CO2 + O2... welds will be oxidised and while they can be cleaned up the corrosion resistance won't be as good as it should be. Bit more detail here... http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/stainless.htm, ferromaxx7 is 7% CO2, 2.5% O2

If you are running with Air products, get hold of some Inomaxx2, or if its heavy section stainless, InomaxxPlus.
