The cable sheath is also snapped leaving the conductor wires exposed.not a good state of affairs,With the price of angle grinders these days I would definitely retire that one and buy new, (just noticed your location and maybe that explains the "thrift")

That is a late 80's black and decker profesional, came in 2 versions, one with a m14/115mm spindle and a smaller m12 or m10 100mm.
am i the only one that thinks if its lasted that well it better than getting a cheap new one that wont last a year let alone ten like that one
push the boat out and make the flex of properly if u MUST use itIf I get new brushes for it I dare say I'll wrap some tape round that. Got a new bearing for the princely sum of £3
