mums got one registered as farm equip, so no mot or tax.
uses it to tow a tipping trailer around, a chain harrow and a roller. and occasionally to town to pick feed up.
useful little thing, but she is frightening when riding it on the road, shes going to get herself killed with her terrible road positioning. but, she wont be told.....
Weight on a quad changes its handling tremendously. I often tow a trailer with mine (Suzuki king quad) half a ton no problem, much more it becomes quite hard to drive. As for going on the road, with a farm quad, its short journeys only if agri registered, officially from field to field etc for its intended work purpose.Going to pick up feed with a tipping trailer! I'm assuming we are talking a significant weight here if it is on what is not likely to be a particularly light trailer with no brakes and agricultural tyres on quad and trailer. I'd be surprised if she had much say in her road positioning at all, especially in the wet. Scary.
