Can anybody make me...

...some small tubes/bushes.

They need to be 12mm OD 8mm ID and 11.5mm in length.

I need 4 of them.

Mild steel would be fine but stainless would be better. They're just some bushes for some wheels on a toy car I'm making.

I can send beer tokens via paypal gift to cover them and postage.



My lack of a lathe and my attempts without a lathe of a copper pipe inserted into a tube wasn't great to start with and went bad the 3rd cut in.

I've tried ebay before for things like this and their 12mm is often something like 12.7 or smaller than 12mm and the ID are off too as it's imperial tube and they list it as the metric equivalent to the closest mm.

I haven't had any problems.....wish I had a lathe too but needs must.

The tolerances are given in the listing I believe...depends what the application is I guess?

Do they need to be steel? I have some 20mm brass round. What are the tolerances on the dimensions? I have some 1" hot rolled stock, the same as you picture, but it's a right pain to machine to a nice finish.

Thanks guys , it needs to be steel tolerance +/- .25mm ish. It's only to adapt a tractor three point linkage kit to fit .

If @Seadog could do it that would be great if not I can send a piece of bar to @slim_boy_fat ....

I'll bow out to @Seadog, I measured my round bar and it's too small in diameter , so probably more straightforward to let him use the brass he has.

I done some nice Bushes and top hats for our Kubota and a hole borer that is to suit a bigger tractor.
Used EN24 as that turns like butter and you can get a nice finish.
