Can a booster pack fry an ecu?

If you buy it and the Ecu is dead then I can highly recommend - ecu doctor in Plymouth, I posted him a a duff one and he repaired it

I used them once and he also activated cruise control for me

It sounds like a classic case of someone connected the jump pack backwards and doesn't want to own up to it, to me. Maybe even twice?

Unless you're unlucky, though, that often doesn't fry anything - it can blow a load of fuses and maybe the diode pack in the alternator, but car electronics are built tough because they know people may make exactly that mistake!
