Im making up a replacement cam chain guide. This pic is what it should look like. Plastic is only 3mm thick. The guide plate has two holes that the plastic is moulded through, to retain it. Mine the plastic was no where to be found and the guide plate had snapped off so I am making this 50 quid part from scratch.
Would nylon be a good choice? I have not decided how to retain it but metal fastners are out. I dont think acetal would stand up to hot oil.
