Hey how are ya??

I am going to be welding at an Exhibition at one of Lorch's distributor in Netherlands from Wednesday. It runs, this Thursday and Friday (4th-5th), Why don't you pop down and have a few beers........

They are opening a brand new welding technology centre/training facility, there will be live demos of lots of different processes and some good deals on the day....

Here is the dealer.....Haprotech, its not that far from Amsterdam I don't think, is it??

about 25 miles out of Amsterdam to the north west.

If you get a chance on Sunday to visit the market at Beverwijk it's well worth it. Stuff's really cheap.

And you must try the Turkish Fruits!

I was really lucky to go there one time when a big-ish ship went along the canal as I went under the tunnel. Unfortunately I was driving on my own so I couldn't get a photo.

Did you see my tasty colleague on the stand........Enza?? She's gorgeous, she was giving out the refreshments. Initially I thought the crowds were gathering because of my dazzling welding skills, then I saw how short her skirt was!

That sounds good Peter,

Unfortunately I don't think i'll get time, after the show finishes and we're all packed up we are moving hotels to stay in my colleagues village or Noordwyik, so we'll be having a few celebratory litres of Heineken on Saturday night and then I fly back to Brum on Sunday as I then have to go too India on the Monday afternoon.

It does look like a country i'd like to have a few non work days in tho.

Im having a few issues with set up on the H150...... I think Enza maybe the only one to help....any chance of sending her to meet the UK customers

Enza, is usually office based, she works in the export department in Germany, but because of her err err "customer" skills she is also utilized at the big Exhibitions.

The show would be a great place to get one, I know that Haprotech will be doing some good prices, to co-incide with the launch of there new facility, unfortunately no Enza, but I think Haprotech have some of there own Dutch hotties! I think some may even be wearing wooden shoes

Joking aside, there will be other welding manufacturers there and stuff like fume extraction and tool companies, so I recon there will be some good deals to be had.

Biggest thing on my list is a good auto-darkening helmet before i can do any serious welding again.... this is the most important to me at the moment. Fume extraction is damn handy as well, but thats out of my range budget wise, i have to wait with that till i have a real job
I would like to buy a MIG/MAG but i fear that i still need to save up a bit to be able to afford the real deal. But its good to know that there can/will be good prices.
Do you know Hoffmann-Westphal in Aachen? they are Lorch/Esab dealer, thats where i get my stuff, haven't asked for prices there, sometimes Germany has good prices as well (compared to the Netherlands) since they have more industry etc.

I think I met some of the guys from Hoffmann-Westphal at one of times I was at the factory, I think they was on some training course or other.

You would defo get some good prices on the Auto-Darkening helmets at the show. I think they have some non descript cheapo brand, Optrel and Speedglas

ok sounds good. safety first so my budget for such a helmet isn't that much a problem.
The cheapo (really cheapo, when i was starting with MMA) i have now just doesn't work right with tig after a few weeks with a lot of welding...

They have quite a festival organised; live music, sushi making, whiskey tasting, welding demos, welding lectures, the whole lot. Should be fun.
I am afraid I will not be able to make it though …time constraints…..again.
Quite a bummer, haven’t been there in ages.

Do keep us informed about your (and also Enza’s) performances in The Netherlands though, if I do manage to free up the time I will definitely pop in.
