Hello, happy amateur here!
I have an ESAB C141 that I bought new last year. I was doing some welding today, when I ran out of gas. Since it's sunday, I can't get any new gas today.
I wanted to finish up the last few welds so I put in a flux core wire and reversed the polarity. The problem is that when I reversed the polarity, one of the cables to the wire feed got so hot it started melting.
I removed the covers to have a look for shorts etc, but I couldn't find anything. Does anyone have any idea of what could have happend?
