7500 for a Myford?? I would like a DSG for that! Are warco lathes ok...i did have a good look at a myford lathes..but the 7500 price tag was just out my reach
I don't know if mini lathes are good or bad...i looked at a warco wm 180...i don't know a lot about them...What makes you think that mini lathes are good? they do the job but require serious alterations and bedding in on some parts like the carriage.
Personally if i had the space and money it would not be this piece of metal I have sitting on the bench in the spare room.I only aquired it because it went pretty cheap ie less than £250 and I'm laughing at the buy it now new prices of £500 and up.
providing its not clapped out and suposedly done up . which consists of a repaint clean up and overtighten the gibstrips cos its worn out if u buy one get one that hasnt been touched and go look at it 1stA decent old machine will run rings round a cheaply built import.
You definitely need to have a good look over any machines before you buy, but I still say go old school iron!providing its not clapped out and suposedly done up . which consists of a repaint clean up and overtighten the gibstrips cos its worn out if u buy one get one that hasnt been touched and go look at it 1st
